Not A Fan

Last night I went to a friends house to watch the movie "Not A Fan". If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it. It tells about being a follower of God as opposed to just a fan. If you were to die today, would you be able to preach your own funeral? This is not a trick question. What I mean is, when people spoke about you would your life reflect Christ so much that those memories are all people would need to hear to find out what kind of a person you were? That you were a true follower of Christ no matter what the cost. This movie digs deep into that issue and although I won't give it all away, I will say that it is very convicting and life changing. Sadly, there are days when I am more of a fan than a follower.  Let's all strive to be a true follower of Christ everyday, and not just a fan!
